My name is Deb Copeland. I am a survivor, educator, entrepreneur, philanthropist, author, wife and mother, just to name a few. You are being contacted because I have written a new book entitled ATTITUDE THERAPY, scheduled for publication in the fall. I have designed and taught "ATTITUDE THERAPY" in the workplace for more than twenty years. My teachings are simply, "ATTITUDE is not about what happened to you, but rather how you responded to what happened." Basically, teaching people to have a "plan" before the attack. As we all know, tragedy will come into our lives in one form or another, so why not be prepared with your attitude of survival? My goal is that people will learn from my life and be able to take charge of theirs.
As you may know, I started a temporary employment service in the early '80s and grew it to 4,000 employees in seven states. The book entails my teaching of "ATTITUDE THERAPY." My story, in short, is a story of the success of a common person, raised in West Virginia, facing not-so-common tragedies throughout her life. My father deserted our family, and, at an early age, I became my mother's primary caretaker when she became ill. I have suffered through Lupus, strokes, and, most recently, a brain tumor - and have survived these debilitating diseases.
In spite of these obstacles, I (to quote William Faulkner) not only "endured, but prevailed." I attribute all of this to "ATTITUDE THERAPY." I am currently traveling the United States conducting a pre-publication publicity tour for my book. For the past 20 years, I have given motivational lectures, seminars, and training sessions regarding my philosophies on ATTITUDE in our lives. My focus is that we have the power to survive many obstacles, as well as the ability to succeed at anything we strive to attain. I continue with my work today. My book is packed with stories of other survivors - plane crash survivors and cancer patients - who managed to beat the odds, all of which can be attributed to ATTITUDE.
The responses that I have received thus far from the reviews of the pre-published drafts have been phenomenal. I welcome the opportunity to meet with you to discuss ATTITUDE THERAPY.
